Simple Homemade Black Berry Pie

Ingrdients

Mix 4 cups berries

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup flour (we used gluten free flour)

Mix until flour and sugar disappear.

Crust Preparation

 

Use a ready made frozen crust or make one from scratch.

Without filling, use a fork to prick a few holes in the crust and bake crust (without filling) for a few minutes (until slightly brown) while oven is preheating to avoid soggy crust. Remove from oven, brush crust bottom with a little egg wash and let cool for few minutes.

Add berry mixture and cover with second crust.

Gently place second crust on the pie, and cut 4 or 5 slits and a hole in the middle of the top crust. Brush with egg wash. Bake until golden brown and berries are bubbling.

So easy! Enjoy!
